The Hal Rogers FEC/Kentucky Splash

Waterpark will be accepting applications

and conducting interviews March 22nd. and March 29th. from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Waterpark.

The following seasonal positions are

available: Lifeguard, Admissions Cashier,

Arcade Attendant, Attractions,

Maintenance, Park Services and Concessions. If you are a new applicant and have already submitted an application you will still need to attend on one of these dates for an interview.

Applicants must be 16 years

of age by May 24th. 2014.

Job Descriptions

 

Cashier /Admissions, Gift Shop
The Admission Cashier rotates between two different stations. These stations are: cashier, and gift shop (see description under gift shop heading). Since the Admission Cashier is generally the first person to greet our guest they should always be friendly and helpful. Each employee should be able to: operate a cash register; process cash, check and credit card transactions; have general computer skills; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager.

 

 
Concessions Cashier
The Concession Cashier is responsible for taking correct orders, preparing food, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining the condiment and food service area. Each employee should be able to: stand for periods of time; tolerate exposure to heat, operate a cash register; process cash, check and credit card transactions; have general computer skills; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager.
 
 
Concessions
The Concession worker is responsible for preparing and or serving food, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining the condiment and food service area. Each employee should be able to: stand for periods of time; tolerate exposure to heat; be friendly and helpful; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager.



Attraction Attendant
The Attraction Attendant rotates between four different stations. These stations are: go-kart attendant, miniature golf attendant, batting cage attendant and turnstile. Each employee should be able to: stand for periods of time; tolerate exposure to both heat and sunlight; be familiar with and enforce all rules and policies of the go-karts, of the miniature golf course, and of the batting cages; be friendly and helpful; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager. (Physical labor required.)

Driving Range Attendant
Each employee should be able to: stand for periods of time; tolerate exposure to both heat and sunlight; be friendly and helpful; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager. (Physical labor required.)

Gift Shop
The Gift Shop Cashier should always be friendly and helpful. Each employee should be able to: answer the phone with complete knowledge of the park and our surrounding area, operate a cash register; process cash, check and credit card transactions; have general computer skills; stock the gift shop daily; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager.

Lifeguard
Certified lifeguards are responsible first and foremost for the safety of our guests. Prevention is the key to safety and lifeguards provide a safe environment by enforcing general park and safety rules. In addition to becoming certified by The American Red Cross , lifeguards undergo eight hours of in-service each month to maintain certification. Being water orientated and a good swimmer are required. Each employee should be able to: stand for periods of time with exposure to both sunlight and extreme temperatures; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty, be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager.

Maintenance / Grounds
The Maintenance / Grounds employee must be able to operate a lawn mower, weed eater and various other types of machinery. Each employee should be able to: tolerate exposure to both heat and sunlight; be friendly and helpful; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager. (Physical labor required.)

Maintenance / Park Services
The Maintenance / Park Services employee will be responsible for cleaning all deck areas, washing down and cleaning all restrooms, picking up debris and cleaning the arcade building. Each employee should be able to: tolerate exposure to both heat and sunlight; be friendly and helpful; able to communicate effectively with co-workers, guests and supervisors; be knowledgeable of the park and our surrounding area; be properly attired and neatly groomed while on duty; be 16 years old or older; finally, the employee must be willing to complete any additional task as assigned by a supervisor/manager. (Physical labor required.)
